| Brief outline of subject: During the course students will explore graphic communication. Students will develop their creative skills through both hand rendered designs and by using ICT Adobe Photoshop programmes to produce a range of graphical outcomes through developing Web design skills. Students will achieve an understanding of how the skills they are learning are used in industry and follow similar set requirements and project briefs by practising graphic design companies.
During the course students will complete two units of coursework and one externally set examination. The externally set examination consists of six weeks preparation time and a 10 hour exam over a two day period. |

| Assessment: Two units of coursework and the externally set exam unit are marked. The coursework is 60% of the final mark. The externally set exam is 40% of the final mark |
